Standing on bridges
peering into brown water
Can I go fishing?
Branches reach over
River life runs between them
Earth hugging water
Walking near water
I see Vultures circling
Thunderbird hello

Under trees searching
I make my way up river
blue heron watches
I see snow running
enticing gorgeous sunlight
I feel it's a lie
snow filling our tracks
we trudge on through winters grip
walking with my son
white lines fill my view
flashing lights on horizon
riding through a storm
sitting among trees
patches of white like fungus
It won't go away
stuffies lay like dead
paper flowers sit atop
looking at my desk
Lack of Haiku due to lack of finding them.
I prefer wild Haiku
Radio singing
I think about poetry
looking at snow hurts
white lines on rust green
pine boughs heavy with sadness
maples are bleeding

scraping of shovels
streets like black ink on paper
walking my damn dog
Grace Ludwig request

trees covered in snow
are pretty lies told by spring
I like my back yard
winter is falling
spring lies with every snow flake
waiting for offspring
wind on my shingles
I can hear snow drops whining
what happened to brown

THree For

in darkness looking
I see yellow sunlight break
wearing down the grime

throwing out old saws
I hear springs sweet song above
small birds in metal

Inspired by Facebook comments

It's dark grey and cold
evil canadian snow
go back to winter

filling a gutter
fall leaves drown in winter snow
buds ready to burst
water bubbling
family of eagles circling
walking in deer bones
a broken haiku
two winter thin deer
feeding in sunlight

AH HA

Happy in sunlight
two winter thin deer eating
a broken Haiku
blue streams in soft snow
winters last breath running south
as pickets go by
ragged birds in snow
waiting for cranes to return
grey thoughts with lead clouds
