waiting in sunlight
watching white fade into brown
listening to songs
spring sun is shining
I hear a crane speak above
just an illusion
grey river running
old steel rails bridging a gap
black lines reflection
walking through old snow
I hear a river singing
tired but happy
Shadow on Pavement
Walking in my neighborhood
enjoying sunlight

I see them sitting
two steel rails cutting through all
murder on the tracks
stepping out my door
a crow flew over yelling
Tuesday reverie
driving home looking
all I see are crows and snow
wishing for spring time
looking through curtains
brown pickets enduring snow
while saplings struggle
black and white pastures
grey puddles reflect grey clouds
warm winds are coming

January Haiku

Making my way west
balloons fill the horizon
dawn, full of hot air

Monday's snow remains
blankets of white fill my site
the wind smells of sun

March Haiku

one scoop at a time
I am metal on pavement
shovel and snow drops

Bent ever forward
always close but out of reach
Crone chasing Venus

a birds quiet song
white heat off snow blinding me
I hear spring dripping

I saw crows dancing
feathers swirling over snow
my broken Haiku
