Soft blue winter scape
Three crows flying into dawn
Cattails are shriveled

waiting amongst trees
sitting silent with my kid
a shot seals the deal.

I watch light grow  through my glass
thinking of my day

driving into snow
under a dirty orange sky
waiting for sunlight

new snow on old ice
I sit waiting for my kids
enjoying the light

Walking through water
Mayflies dancing on a film
Trout and I watching

Sitting in sunlight
Listening to my children
coffee with whiskey

boiled eggs and broth
sliced onions garlic and leeks
ramen for my wife

Watching a little white boat
