Desk

our children shine bright
rough waters smoothed by gold hearts
ready to explore

petals bring pain
sugar lacks sweetness to you
Happy Valentine's
Cigar smoke and rain
smelling your hair as we walk
Memories of us
waves of tin clouds break
riding with me in darkness
we sail on moonlight
sweaty summer light
we're dancing at a crossroads
startled by corvids
sitting in suns sound
I watch leaves change into fall
Smelling go Kart fumes
looking through white light
even windows weep in winter
Solstice season blues
re plaid starts to fade
winter covering my beard
brown boots start to squeal
locked in a circle
sunlight over small mountains
a broken cookie
a haiku stalking
I feel snow on m windshield
silent words still wait
thinking of past words
we drive through moon beams blue light
tomorrows snow waits
Cold seeps into bones
with winds pushing snow deeper
wrapped in loves blanket

Thursday, September 12, 2019

blue rusty rings drip
cold wind on my face whispers
waiting to depart
soupy golden light
drapes over old grass and paint
fire hydrant blues
Wrestling with rain
my thoughts scatter in grey light
water exploding

Monday, September 9, 2019

windows full of rain
purposefully suffering
every heart a sun

false stars in sable
wetly glitter on steel rails
bound by position

Sunday, September 8, 2019

red under wet green
summer's colors slip away
willows are weeping

Wednesday, September 4, 2019

smell of wet pavement
thin whispy clouds speed on by
courtyard of metal
wind and water sing
as we walk along red shores
looking for hag stones
Following unheard
a song of river and stone
visiting spider
